Agenturet is a two-story restaurant and bar known for its warm, laid-back atmosphere and a menu that suits both everyday dining and special occasions. NYT sits just across the courtyard — a more intimate spot where you can start your day with lunch and something sweet, then stay for dinner and cocktails as evening falls. Prelaten is located in the basement and serves as Mackgaarden’s cultural heart, hosting concerts, stand-up, and club nights that draw people of all ages.
Our backyard ties it all together. In summer, it’s one of the city’s most popular outdoor spaces, filled with life, grilling, and music. In winter, we keep it open with lights and warmth — a natural gathering place during the dark season.

Down in the basement beneath Agenturet, Prelaten has been at the heart of Tromsø’s nightlife and culture for decades. It’s a place where music, laughter, and late nights meet — with around 150 events a year, from live concerts and stand-up to club nights, bingo, and quizzes.
